Since it is unavoidable that we live in a culture obsessed with celebrity Liz, Alan and I all at some point made up our short list of celebrities we were allowed to have sex with if the opportunity presented itself.  Mine are in no particular order:

A couple of weeks back i was pondering my lack of sexual kinks.  I mean, i spent time looking through lists, talking to Alan and Liz, and searching numerous websites from infantilism to role playing to furries.  I guess the only thing that stirs my interest is voyeurism.  I like watching porn containing people who seem to be more or less having sex for themselves, not the camera.  I don't know how i would feel about watching people having sex for real though.  I would not necessarily want them to know I was watching them.  I would want them to be uninhibited, while at the same time not performing for an audience.  Maybe I need to get some binoculars.

My name is Charlie.  You may know me through rens_secretary who is my wife of almost 2 years and alangorecki  who is my best friend and have known for about 5 years now.  We are a polyfidelis triad.  I am a hard working, laid back, friendly, and exceedingly liberal guy.  My hope for this journal is to be more social, while at the same time be able to talk about things that I do not feel comfortable sharing with my family or friends, and to chronicle the events of my life.

I am a weak atheist.  This term does denote a weakness or character or conviction it simply means I do not deny the existence of god with the same fervor of those that insist that their god exists.  I think that the preponderonce of evidence suggests that god, as most people see it, does not exist. 

I adore Science Fiction.  It is my favorite genre of everything (ie Literature, Film, Video Games, Etc.)  because it tackles the complex topics of philosophy and the nature of our existence while keeping my mind awash with interesting ideas about what the future could hold. 

I am a gamer.  I enjoy both PC and console gaming.  I relish the chance to play a video game that challenges me or draws me into a new and interesting universe.  I also have always enjoyed console gaming because of the social aspect, like in Smash Bros. or Mario Party, or Goldeneye.  I love going to LAN parties and especially like going with my brothers.  While I thoroughly enjoy movies and will discuss them at length I crave interaction.  Movies and TV can easily turn into passive entertainment when you don't talk or really think about what you have seen.  Some of my favorite games now are World of Warcraft, Dance Dance Revolution, Battlefield 2142, Half-Life 2, Free Cell, and WarioWare.

My passion in life is to teach history.  Citizens of a democracy need to be able to learn about the principles of their country as well as the events in the past that continue to affect the present.  Students in school must learn to frame questions about their government and think critically and logically about the world.  That is what I want to impart to the next generation of humanity.  I cannot think of a more worthy calling, except actually shaping policy via a political office.

Random Rant
I don't see why people get candy at the movie theater.  Candy is something not unique to the movie watching experience.  You can sneak candy in and it is much cheaper.  Fresh popcorn and fountain pop are things that would be much harder to sneak into the theater and fresh popcorn is much harder to come by on a regular basis.
